Throughout the past century, Gospel Volunteers, Inc. and its ministries have been generously lifted up in prayer and supported financially. Here are a few ways in which you can participate in this ministry. |

Prayer. Present the Biblical truths of Jesus Christ, develop Christian leadership,
These are very important directives but are impossible to do without the leading and strength provided by the Holy Spirit. Please pray for: Each arm of our Ministry - Summer, Tapawingo, Missions, Conferences, LIFT. Gifting. Capital Fund: Every year CAMP-of-the-WOODS undertakes $1,000,000+ of needed renovations, improvements and new construction. Thanks to the generosity of the Camp family over the past ten years, we have redone every unit on the lake, plus built a pavilion, a new Teen Center, a beach wall, and renovated the Tee Pee. Visit our 'Happenings' page to learn more about this year's projects. Your support in this area is needed and appreciated. Missions: We are committed to supporting our missionaries throughout the year. While most of our missions funds come in during the summer months, our missionaries' needs continue year-round. See our 'Missionaries' page to learn more about the various ministries our missionaries are involved in. L.I.F.T. Discipleship Program: This is a wonderful program through which we are able to impact the lives of young adults each semester (twice a year). The students have a rigorous study program, enjoy the Adirondacks with hikes and camping trips, and are involved in various areas of service to Camp and in the local community. This program is provided at no cost to the students. Gifts to the L.I.F.T. program will go towards offsetting meal and lodging costs, purchasing equipment for hiking and camping, and purchasing and maintaining vehicles for their transportation. You can also give to the LIFT Mission Trips, which the students take once per semester. For more information, please go to the 'L.I.F.T.' website. Tapawingo: This is a wonderful camp where young girls can grow in their walk with God while enjoying the beautiful outdoors with activities that make use of the Adirondack Mountains. Gifts for Tapawingo can be designated for the General Fund or for the Camper Scholarship program that helps girls from financially burdened families attend Camp. Visit the 'Camp Tapawingo' website for more information. Summer Staff Sponsorship: This program is a creative way for our guests and former staff to help CAMP-of-the-WOODS by sponsoring a summer staff member’s wages, room and board. This exciting program will help offset operational costs related to Camp’s ministries. Individuals or groups of people can choose a summer staff position that is meaningful to them and can help sponsor this position for as little as $500. ‘Pop’ Tibbitts Foundation: This foundation is an endowment to give financial security to the future of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. It has been established in honor of ‘Pop’ Tibbitts’ greatest vision. The purpose of this foundation is the same as Pop’s was when he deeded his property to Gospel Volunteers, Inc… to preserve this ministry for the future. |

Will – You can provide a bequest in your will for a dollar amount, percentage of your estate, or a residuary amount to CAMP-of-the-WOODS. The funds will be added to the endowment for the long-term financial strength of the ministry. Distribution from Retirement Account – You can name CAMP-of-the-WOODS as a designated beneficiary of a specific dollar amount, or percentage of the account upon death. Gifts of retirement assets provide significant income and estate tax benefits and require the use of a designated beneficiary form with the plan administrator. A bequest of retirement assets is of no effect. Gift Annuity – This is a contract between you and CAMP-of-the-WOODS to provide a guaranteed lifetime annuity for yourself and, if desired, for another individual. Gift annuities provide significant tax and financial benefits for the donor. A confidential personalized analysis can be provided upon request. Charitable Remainder Trust – This can be in the form of an annuity trust providing a fixed annuity amount or as a unitrust providing a variable payment depending upon the performance of the trust investment portfolio. In either case, the donor irrevocably places assets in a trust. The trust payments must be at least 5% of the value of the trust. A charitable income/estate tax deduction is available based upon the payment rate of the trust, age(s) of beneficiary(ies) and the current IRS discount rate. Life Insurance – A donor can make CAMP-of-the-WOODS the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Older policies are excellent gift assets as they give a charitable income tax deduction of approximately the current cash value of the policy. With new policies, donors receive a current charitable deduction for the premium payments on the policy. |
